Veronica Romero

2026 Theatre Scholarship Recipient

Veronica Romero is a 16-year-old musical theater artist from Sykesville, Maryland, whose work is driven by a deep curiosity about people and human behavior. Her early interest in observing and understanding others naturally led her to pursue acting, singing, and dance as forms of storytelling.

Through her training, she has come to see theater as a space for empathy, where performers can explore complex perspectives and share meaningful narratives with audiences. Veronica is particularly interested in telling stories that reflect underrepresented experiences and create a sense of connection and understanding.

Veronica plans to pursue formal training in musical theater with the goal of becoming a well-rounded performer. The AQF scholarship will support her development as she attends the Norwalk Conservatory of the Arts Pre-College Intensive, where she will strengthen her skills across disciplines and deepen her ability to tell impactful stories.
