Veronica Romero at Norwalk Conservatory
For Veronica Romero, the Norwalk Conservatory musical theatre intensive offered something she had not experienced in previous arts programs: a firsthand look at what it takes to pursue a career in the professional theatre industry. Alongside intensive artistic training, she gained practical knowledge from faculty actively working in the industry and developed a clearer understanding of what today's Broadway landscape demands.
The program gave Veronica the opportunity to learn directly from professionals with current experience in the field. Their insight into the industry provided a valuable perspective on the transition from developing as a young performer to navigating a professional career—knowledge she believes will continue to guide her in the years ahead.
One of the most meaningful opportunities was the chance to meet with and audition for a professional agent. Having the opportunity to put her training into practice in a professional context gave Veronica a new perspective on the audition process and introduced her to an aspect of the industry that she had not encountered through previous programs.
Just as important was the community she found at Norwalk. Surrounded by fellow young performers who shared her passion for musical theatre, Veronica formed friendships and connections that she hopes will continue long after the intensive ended.

Made possible through an Anthony Quinn Foundation Scholarship in Musical Theatre, Veronica's experience at Norwalk Conservatory gave her new artistic skills, professional perspective, and confidence as she continues preparing for a future in musical theatre.
