Anthony Quinn Foundation x Roger Williams University
Bermont Fellowship in Fiction and Nonfiction
The Anthony Quinn Foundation is proud to partner with Roger Williams University to support the Bermont Fellowship in Fiction and Nonfiction, a distinctive literary program designed to nurture emerging writers and foster artistic excellence.
Open to full-time undergraduate students across all disciplines, the fellowship is awarded through a blind submission process that ensures selection based solely on merit. Each year, selected Bermont Fellows are invited to participate in an intensive master class led by a distinguished visiting author, offering a rare opportunity for direct mentorship, critical feedback, and meaningful artistic exchange.
Focused on both fiction and nonfiction, the program creates a dynamic space where students can refine their voice, explore new forms of storytelling, and engage deeply with contemporary literary practice.
A Unique Creative Experience
Each year’s fellowship centers on an immersive, one-day master class with a renowned visiting writer. This experience is designed to:
Support students’ creative and professional development
Provide direct mentorship and feedback from established authors
Encourage cross-disciplinary artistic exploration
Strengthen a lifelong commitment to storytelling and literary arts
Through this collaboration, the Anthony Quinn Foundation extends its mission—“Art, in all its forms, is essential to learning and the enrichment of the mind”—into higher education and literary practice.
