Paloma Chaprnka
2026 Instrumental Scholarship Recipient
Paloma Chaprnka is a 16-year-old classical guitarist from Traverse City, Michigan, who has been dedicated to her instrument since the age of three. An accomplished performer, she has earned recognition in national and international competitions and founded the Buckley Classical Guitar Project, providing free lessons to students in her rural community.
Her musicianship reflects both discipline and artistic sensitivity. Paloma balances rigorous technical training with a deep commitment to musical expression, drawing inspiration from a wide range of performers and mentors. Her work is shaped by long hours of practice, as well as a strong belief in music’s ability to connect and inspire others.
Paloma plans to pursue a career as a concert artist while continuing her studies at the conservatory level. The AQF scholarship will support her growth as she attends the Aspen Music Festival and School, where she will study with leading musicians, refine her technique, and deepen her artistic voice in preparation for professional performance opportunities.
