Olesia views art as a medium for communication and storytelling, often incorporating unusual or grotesque elements to provoke thought and emotion. Through her artwork, she challenges viewers to discern hidden symbols and explore the raw emotions evoked by her pieces. With a focus on drama, her work delves into personal interpretations of destiny, faith, and other recurrent themes, presented in a style reminiscent of classical and renaissance paintings.
Her artistic process involves drawing inspiration from conceptual or visual sources and incorporating new challenges in technique. Experimentation with various mediums, including graphite, colored pencils, pens, pastels, acrylics, watercolors, ceramics, and fiber works, enriches her body of work without spreading herself too thin. Olesia's artistic journey began in elementary school, where she started selling decorated jars, and has since exhibited locally at numerous venues and events, including the Ocean View Art Show, Stockley Gardens Art Show, and MOCA.
Seeking opportunities to learn and grow as an artist, Olesia aims to immerse herself in the artistic community, learning from experienced professionals and observing the life stories of art college teachers. She sees this as a potential career path and is eager to expand her artistic horizons through exposure to different perspectives and techniques.
