Lexi views music as more than just a hobby; it is her passion and a source of profound emotional connection. From a young age, she found solace and inspiration in music, diverging from her peers by listening to classical pieces like "Nessun Dorma." Performing became a driving force for her, as she yearned to share the joy she experienced on stage with her audience. Lexi's deepest connection, however, lies in classical music, which she finds unmatched in its ability to evoke emotions and express her true self.
While Lexi cherishes musical theatre, she faces challenges in finding peers who share her enthusiasm for classical music on a daily basis. Participating in RIMEA Festivals and select school performances provides a taste of the mutual love she seeks, but she yearns for an environment where her passion for classical music is fully embraced.
Lexi will attend the Washington National Opera Institute summer program, which will offer her the ideal opportunity to nurture her passion alongside like-minded individuals. By learning from experienced performers and teachers, Lexi envisions refining her voice, technique, breath support, vowels, range, and stage presence, ultimately improving as a performer and musician. This program holds great significance to Lexi as she aspires to become a professional performer, dreaming of prestigious venues like the Metropolitan Opera and Carnegie Hall.
