Devan, a passionate and talented teenager, feels incredibly fortunate to wake up each day and step into the shoes of various characters. Whether she's portraying Margot, Dainty June, Little Red, Pinocchio, or Sebastian, Devan embraces the opportunity to live out her passion for theatre on the stage. Ever since she sang in a talent show and felt the spotlight's embrace, Devan has known that performing is her true calling. Her love for theatre goes beyond seeking the limelight; it's about creating a connection with the audience and evoking genuine emotions from every person in the auditorium.
Throughout her theatrical journey, Devan has been blessed to meet incredible individuals who have imparted valuable lessons and knowledge. Now, she yearns for the chance to further enhance her skills by attending the Summer Theatre Artistic Training Experience (STATE) at Penn State University. This renowned program offers comprehensive training in voice, dance, acting, and even guidance on the college audition process. Collaborating with the esteemed faculty and talented students from across the country is an exciting prospect for Devan, as she believes it will foster rapid growth in a supportive and challenging environment.
Devan understands that STATE is not just an audition for college but rather an opportunity to immerse herself in a triple threat style of learning and expand her artistic horizons. She envisions returning to her own theatre department, where she holds a leadership position on the student thespian board, and sharing the knowledge and experiences she gains from STATE. Devan's passion for performing is genuine and unwavering, and she believes that STATE will play a crucial role in her ongoing journey of growth and improvement as an artist.
