Carisa Aballi

2026 Theatre Scholarship Recipient

Carisa Aballi is a 17-year-old theater artist from Miami, Florida, whose passion for performance began in elementary school, where she first experienced the power of creating a fully realized world with minimal resources. Since then, she has trained extensively in both stage acting and on-camera performance through her high school’s conservatory program and competitive productions.

Her work is rooted in a belief that acting is both an act of resilience and vulnerability. Carisa approaches each role as an opportunity to explore human complexity, developing emotional depth while building the discipline required to navigate rejection and growth in the performing arts. Through her experiences in theater and film, she has learned to connect closely with collaborators and audiences, using storytelling as a way to reveal perspectives beyond her own.

Carisa plans to pursue a professional career in theater and film, with the goal of studying acting at the collegiate level in New York City. The AQF scholarship will support her as she attends the Summer University Theatre Experience, where she will strengthen her audition technique, gain exposure to national-level training, and build connections that will support her transition into competitive BFA programs.
