Manav Tokala Accepted to Juilliard’s BFA Drama Program
Following his participation in the SUTE summer program, Manav (AQF ‘25) has earned national recognition in acting and been accepted to the prestigious Juilliard School Drama Division.
Since attending the Summer University Theatre Experience (SUTE) summer program through the support of the Anthony Quinn Foundation Scholarship, Manav Tokala has achieved major milestones in his artistic journey. Most recently, he was accepted into the highly competitive BFA Drama Program at The Juilliard School, where he will continue his professional acting training.
In addition to his acceptance to Juilliard, Manav was named a YoungArts Winner with Distinction in the Theatre/Spoken (Acting) category. As part of this honor, he participated in National YoungArts Week in January, where he took part in acting masterclasses, scene study courses, and live showcase performances alongside other emerging young artists from across the country. Reflecting on the experience, Manav shared that he was “fortunate enough to participate in the National YoungArts Week,” where he was able to grow both artistically and personally through the intensive training and performance opportunities.
Looking back on the role the Anthony Quinn Foundation played in his path, Manav wrote: “I truly believe that without the scholarship, which enabled me to attend the summer program at SUTE, I would not have come as far as I have. Your faith in me has allowed me to pursue what I have always dreamed of.”
His achievements already reflect the dedication, discipline, and passion he brings to his craft, and his next chapter at Juilliard promises even more exciting artistic growth.
We congratulate Manav on these extraordinary accomplishments and look forward to following his journey as he continues to pursue his dreams on some of the world’s most celebrated stages.
