Jamie's musical journey began at a young age when she discovered her love for the double bass. As a musician, she views music as an essential part of her identity. Her dedication to practicing and playing the bass, even on challenging days, is driven by the rewarding experience of sharing her passion with others. Jamie seeks to inspire and empower aspiring bassists, particularly young girls, by breaking stereotypes and showcasing the instrument's potential.

Motivated by the underrepresentation of bassists, especially females, in the classical world, Jamie aims to make a difference. She believes that increasing the presence of female bass players in professional settings will challenge the status quo and encourage others to pursue their musical aspirations. By collaborating and supporting one another, she envisions a future where girls can lead and inspire others to reach new levels of creativity.

With her sights set on the Boston University Tanglewood Institute (BUTI), Jamie is drawn to its reputation for attracting talented musicians from around the world. She looks forward to the opportunity to interact with individuals of diverse backgrounds and artistic perspectives, fostering personal and musical growth.
