Hope's life has been enriched by various art forms since a young age, including music, dance, literary, and visual arts. Adopted from Da Nang, Vietnam, at five months old, she faced challenges with her hands, but remained determined to pursue her passion for music. Inspired by her sister's love for the violin, Hope overcame her physical limitations through therapy and began violin lessons at the age of two. Together, they formed the violin duet group "Wings and Strings," with a mission to share their music with orphans and support adoption efforts through annual fundraising concerts.
Hope has been fortunate to seize numerous opportunities on her violin journey. Under the guidance of Colleen Chenail at the Music Academy of North Carolina, she has honed her skills. She has also participated in various summer intensives and workshops, including those offered by the North Carolina and Virginia Suzuki Institutes, Four Seasons Chamber Music program, and more. In addition, Hope has contributed to the artistic community by performing with youth orchestras and playing at social events and fundraisers.
Recognizing the power of music to touch lives and inspire others, Hope aims to attend the Meadowmount School of Music summer program to further enhance her artistic abilities. She believes that immersing herself in a nurturing and intensive musical environment will enable her to reach new heights and expand her impact on the community. With the support of her family, teachers, friends, and the community, Hope is grateful for the opportunities that have allowed her to become an artist and musician, and she hopes to continue sharing her gift with the world.
