Elise, a passionate artist, has been drawing since she was able to hold a pencil. Growing up with artist parents, particularly her father, a cartoonist and animator, she was inspired to follow in their footsteps. As a child, she eagerly experimented with her dad's drawing tablet and software, spending countless hours filling blank sheets of paper. However, it wasn't until around the age of eleven that Elise began considering a career in art and taking animation more seriously.
Her love for animation was sparked by discovering other artists online who served as a supportive and inspiring community. They not only pushed her to improve her skills but also provided comfort and encouragement as she grew as an artist. As Elise delved into animation, she found her passion for storytelling through art, making animation her favorite medium. Through constant practice and occasional summer classes, she experienced significant growth in her animation skills over the years.
Elise plans to utilize the Anthony Quinn Foundation scholarship to attend the Columbus College of Art & Design: College Preview Program. This opportunity will allow her to further enhance her animation abilities, connect with fellow artists, and immerse herself in studying animation at an art school. Her dream of becoming an animator, which she held since she was eleven, continues to drive her pursuit of artistic excellence.
