Mariella Gutierrez at Gobelins Summer School in Paris
For Mariella Gutierrez, attending the Gobelins Summer School in Character Animation in Paris was an opportunity to take her animation training to an international level. The summer program immersed her in a professional creative environment where she developed new skills, worked with industry-level tools, and received valuable feedback from animation professionals.
Learning directly from experienced artists gave Mariella new insight into the animation industry and helped her better understand the standards and expectations of professional work. The feedback she received throughout the program provided new perspectives on her own creative process and gave her tools she can continue applying as she develops her skills as an animator.
The experience extended beyond the classroom as well. Spending the summer in Paris gave Mariella the chance to explore a new city and culture while pursuing her passion for animation, making the experience both creatively productive and personally meaningful.
"The Gobelins summer program was wonderful and I was able to learn industry level programs and get a lot of feedback from professionals."
Made possible through an Anthony Quinn Foundation Scholarship in Media Arts, Mariella's experience at Gobelins gave her valuable professional perspective, new technical skills, and inspiration that she can carry into the next stage of her development as an animator.
