Evan Kinnane

2012 Musical Theatre Scholarship Recipient

Evan's journey into the world of music and theater began at the age of six when he made the spontaneous decision to follow his sister into an audition. Without hesitation, he said yes to the opportunity, and when he received the call offering him his first role as Randolph in Bye Bye Birdie, his passion for the arts ignited. Now, a decade later, Evan's enthusiasm for music and theater has only grown stronger, and he envisions a future career that revolves around this deep-seated passion. For now, his focus is on expanding his knowledge across various artistic disciplines.

The experience of performing on stage is indescribable for Evan. The thrill and joy of captivating an audience, even if just for a moment, and providing them with an escape from the outside world is what brings him happiness. Acting holds a unique place in his heart, as it allows him to transcend boundaries and become any character, inhabit any profession, and tell any story. This freedom to explore different personalities, accents, and roles is what draws Evan to the art form and fuels his love for acting.

Looking ahead, Evan envisions a future where his passion, dedication, and drive for the arts remain unwavering. He aspires to continue acting, painting, singing, dancing, and creating. While he knows that the path in the performing arts world may present challenges and require him to make difficult decisions, he hopes that the choices he makes will be as rewarding as the spontaneous decision he made at six years old, which ultimately changed the course of his life.
