Esmelki, a Dominican-American born and raised in New York City, has always been an observer rather than the observed. However, he envisions his next 10 years as a filmmaker who will make a significant impact on the film industry. Through his work, he aims to showcase his ideas and document meaningful stories. Esmelki believes in the power of visual storytelling, paying meticulous attention to detail, much like the renowned filmmaker Stanley Kubrick.

In his films, Esmelki seeks to captivate viewers visually, utilizing the camera's capabilities to shift focus from close-ups to wide-angle shots. He draws inspiration from cinema verite and direct cinema, where uncontrolled situations are filmed, often without added music or narration. Esmelki admires pioneers like Albert Maysles, known for their contributions to documentary filmmaking. By adopting these techniques, Esmelki intends to offer glimpses into his characters' lives through lengthy scenes, allowing the audience to connect with them on a deeper level.

Esmelki's vision revolves around the power of technology to tell stories in diverse ways. He recognizes the incredible potential he possesses as a filmmaker, but he also ponders how he will wield that power.
